Brian Tankersley is a CPA and consultant based in Knoxville, Tennessee. Brian is a frequent speaker at continuing education courses on technology for many state CPA societies, is the Technical Editor for the CPA Practice Advisor, and is a senior faculty member with Becker Professional Review. Tankersley has been recognized as a thought leader in public accounting technology by Cygnus Business Media for 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014. He has been published by numerous state CPA societies, and wrote an article on Cloud Computing which was selected as 2011 Article of the Year by the Tennessee Society of CPAs.
Brian received the Outstanding Discussion Leader Award from the Tennessee Society of CPA's in 2009 and 2012, and was selected as a future leader of the profession for the CPA Technology Advisor's 40 Under 40 program in 2007 and 2008.
Brian is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Information Technology Professional, and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. He holds bachelors degrees in both Accounting and Finance, cum laude, from the University of Tennessee.
Brian is a member of the Tennessee Society of CPAs, the American Institute of CPAs, and the Information Technology Section of the American Institute of CPAs.
